Hello

John has been in the medical field since 1986 when he served on his local volunteer ambulance in Rutherford, New Jersey.  Since then, he has worked as a surgical technologist in an operating room, a 9-1-1 dispatcher, an emergency medical technician, and a mobile intensive care nurse (equivalent to a paramedic in NJ). He became a Registered Nurse in 2004 graduating from Bergen Community College with an Associates in Applied Science Degree.

In 2011, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Excelsior College, and his Masters of Science in Nursing in 2019 from Saint Elizabeth University.  In 2024, John received his Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Aspen University.

His job entails quality assurance, performance improvement, research, education, consultation, and direct patient care.

John has been a massage therapist since graduating from the Helma Institute of Massage Therapy in 1994, and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2008 when the State of New Jersey started licensing for that profession. He is also a Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist through the Liddle Kidz Foundation and a Certified Prenatal Massage Therapist.  He specializes in massage therapy and lymphatic drainage therapy for the treatment of illness, injury, stress, and the discomforts of pregnancy.

A Message from John

Hello and thank you for taking a moment to step into my "virtual" office.  Please take some time to look around and learn about my services.  If you're not sure if these types of treatment are right for you, book a virtual appointment and I would be happy to answer any questions you have.

I've been in medicine for a long time.  As a Registered Nurse, I know the benefits of modern (or "Western") medicine. I view massage and lymphatic drainage ("Eastern" medicine) as complimentary medicine, that is, a compliment to modern medicine.  I'll never pretend that I can "cure" anything, but I can help your body to begin to cure itself to bring you back to your best self. When we work together, I will get to know you as a person.  The big-box massage clinics are useful, but there is something to be said for going to a small clinic where you know your therapist and can speak candidly about what ails you.  We will work together to build a custom treatment plan to make you (or your child) feel better.

Thank you again for your time and I hope to hear from you.

 John
